Is there anyone out there?

I want to do a test. I really get the feeling that no one is actually reading this blog. That's ok, since anyone who has actually read it will know that there really isn't much substance here. It's more for me, and it's something fun for me to do while I'm not doing my homework.

So, if you are reading this - leave me a comment. anonymous or not, just leave some note. I'm guessing I'll get one note. So don't bother John, I know you read. You can skip this one, I'll give you a day off for being a good friend. Haha.

more nostalgia

I'm watching Garden State for the second time. The last time I saw it was two years ago. I really wanted to see the movie, but I didn't get a chance over the summer (2004). So I made it to college with Jim/John/Nimit/Linsey, and got the soundtrack right away, but didn't get to see the movie until months later. It's a good movie, very quirky. I remember it not living up to the huge hype. But what got to me tonight, was the soundtrack. Every other scene in the movie closed or opened with a song that brought me back. Back to two years ago, good times. I guess I'm realizing these days that college is begining it's ending. My friends are starting to graduate, and I'm unconsciencely preparing to leave. I hope I'm ready. Maybe I just look to the past too much. Back when I was with Linsey, I was happier. Maybe not happier, but ready. I was ready, and looking forward to the future. Now, I'm not ready anymore. Close, but not as ready as I was, mostly because before I had someone that was willing to dive into the unknown that is the future. So instead of celebrating the future, I look to the past. I'm gald I've realized that. Anyway, I'm almost 100% sure the Garden State Soundtrack is the best compilation CD I've ever heard. And it reminds me of some of the best days in my life. I'm not sad that those days have ended. I'm happy that they ever existed, and excited for them to come again.

Good times, thanks to everyone who was in my life back in '04.
